TNT show "Titans" based on the DC comic Teen Titans begins filming in 2015

Above is a tweet from Geoff Johns the Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment announcing to the world that "Titans" based on the different iterations of the "Teen Titans" will begin shooting next year.

Then because the DC gods are generous we got confirmation that we will be seeing Nightwing and not Robin on this team. Going by the other versions of the comic book team we may be seeing Nightwing leading this team of young superheroes in a pilot written by Akiva Goldman who has anglers (fringe) and demons (Batman Forever and Batman Returns) in his back log.

If you can't wait, and you really want to see Nightwing in action, there is a really great fan funded webseries by Ismahawk that follows the adventures of Dick Grayson as he takes on the likes of Slade "Deathstroke" Wilson, Jason "Red Hood" Todd and the city of Bludhaven working alongside Barbara Gordon to continue the fight for justice in his own way away from the shadow of Gotham and the Bat.

This live action spectacle of the young sidekicks of the DC universe will be joining a great list of already established and well loved T.V shows which have in a small part paved the way for this nerd renaissance we are enjoying.

The first of these Brave and the Bold's is the CW 's powerhouse "Arrow" (based on the Green Arrow comics) in it's third season, on the same channel and in the same universe we have "The Flash" enjoying a tremoundous freshmen series.

Fox is busy telling the noir tale of the city of "Gotham" and the beginnings of some of its most famous and infamous citizens, from big players like Jim Gordon and Bruce Wayne, to some of the wonderful psychopaths that round out the Batman rogue family such as  Oswald Cobblepot, Selina Kyle, and Edward Nygma.

Rounding out the massive list of DC shows is "Constantine" the grim story of John Constantine from the Hellblazer Vertigo imprint (and more recently part of the regular Dc universe) which is enjoying it's 13 episode first season on NBC, and will possibly be coming back next year if the petty dabbler in the dark arts can con someone into letting them have another go.

We are still a far ways off from the premiere of the show but we can start wondering what other superheroes will be rounding out the team?

Are we going to be seeing the line up of 2006 cartoon Teen Titans? Robin, Starfire, Raven, Cyborg and Beast Boy?

Maybe the original Team from the critically acclaimed and sorely missed Young Justice cartoon. Robin, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Superboy, AquaLad, and Artemis?

Or a complete and utter surprise? A whole new team culled from the best sidekicks, and characters that DC comics has left in their cabinet.

Or maybe
